easyWash...how it works.

1: A complete wash of the easyWaste equipment, including empty bins presented to us when doing the easyWash. This includes the use of ’De-Grime’ and other special cleaning chemicals and actual steam-cleaning (as oppposed to mere coldwater jetwashing). NB On at least two occasions per year easyWaste will arrange for the containers to be left away from the compactors for a better clean.

2: An easyWashing of the general waste area using anti-bacterial chemical agents.

3: The greasing of outside equipment moving parts to avoid any undue strain and additional servicing/repair costs to the customer, eg turnbuckles etc.

4: Once any presented bins have been easyWashed, they will be re-stickered with recycling, etc, signage in a bid to encourage the system to be more effective and visible. These stickers will have the customers name on them to help show customers that they take recycling seriously and to present a better all-round image. Damaged bins which are likely to cause injury to staff or damage to the bin lifting equipment will have a ’condemned’ sticker put on them to ensure that they are not used with expensive equipment and to prevent costly damage.

5: A Sign-Off sheet will be presented for signature after the easyWash, and a sticker will be posted on the main equipment to show the service has been undertaken, and to list when the next recommended easyWash should take place. The easyWaste ISO 9001 system will record the easyWash, showing on record further proper Duty of Care aspirations from ourselves and the customer.

Note - The comprehensive easyWash service is not to be confused with jet-washing such areas, or a “white van” car wash type facility, the service is expected to reduce equipment service and maintenance problems that arise through basic lack of care to on-site equipment.
